How Homestay Merchant Can Accept or Reject Booking Request from Customer

If you opted for the Approved-Based Booking Engine, this guide is what you need to learn on how to accept or to reject a booking request made by your customer. There’s two ways to respond for the booking request – by Email and by SMS. Both are covered in this article.

NOTE: This article is NOT applicable for homestay merchant who opted for Instant Booking Engine.

 

A) Email Respond Method


1. You will receive a pending booking request email (as picture below) when customer make a booking.

2. You just need to click either ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’ button in the mail shown as below to indicate your approval of the customer’s booking.

3. If you accept the booking request, your customer will receive an email and SMS indicating your approval of the booking. If you reject the booking request, both of you will receive an email notification on the in-availability of the unit.

4. Once approved, your customer will need to make payment within 36 hours. Both of you will receive an email and SMS indicating the payment has been settled.

NOTE: If you reject the booking request, customer will receive email and SMS notification of the rejected booking request.

 

 

B) SMS Respond Method


1. You will receive an SMS notification (as shown in picture below) when customer makes a booking. SMS will be sent to the registered mobile phone number submitted along with your agreement.

2. Reply ‘Accept XXXXX’ or ‘Reject XXXXX’ to indicate your approval of the booking request. (see picture below). The 5 digit random number is required to identify the booking ticket.

NOTE: The word ‘Accept’ or ‘Reject’ is not case sensitive. You can write in both capital or small letter.

3. If you accept the booking request, the customer will receive an email and SMS indicate your approval of the booking.

4. Your customer will need to make payment within 36 hours. Both of you will receive an email and SMS indicating the payment has been settled.

NOTE: If you reject the booking request, customer will receive email and SMS notification of the rejected booking request.

 

 

Additional Info:


1. The system will automatically reject the booking request if you do not reply within 8 hours. The email and SMS notification looks like example below.

  • System-generated email CC to owner.

  • SMS notification received by owner.

2. Please include the 5 digit random numbers when you reply the SMS booking request.
