For over six years, you’ve been using Softinn Version 4 to manage your hotel. Whether it’s updating room types, checking bookings, or managing daily operations, we’ve been right there with you. And we’re truly grateful for the trust you’ve placed in us.
But as your needs have grown, and as technology has evolved, we knew it was time to make a big leap forward.
🚀 Why We Built Version 5
We’ve made a major investment in revamping our entire system — not just a facelift, but a complete rebuild from the inside out — to serve you better.
Here’s what that means for you:
⚙️ Faster, Stronger, More Reliable
We’ve upgraded our backend engine from Microsoft .NET Framework 4 to .NET 8 — the latest and fastest technology from Microsoft.
Why does this matter to you?
- Speed: .NET 8 is 10–20 times faster than the old framework, which means you’ll experience quicker page loads and smoother performance.
- Stability: The new platform is more reliable, so you’ll encounter fewer hiccups.
- Security: Microsoft has officially ended support for .NET Framework 4, meaning it no longer receives critical security updates or bug fixes. Staying on it would have put your data — and your guests’ — at risk. With .NET 8, you’re now running on a secure and actively supported platform.
On the frontend, we’ve also made a huge leap from AngularJS version 1 (which we’ve used for many years) to Angular 20 — a modern frontend framework maintained by Google. This jump brings:
- A cleaner, more intuitive user interface
- Better responsiveness across devices
- Faster updates and fixes from our development team
We chose these technologies carefully. They’re not just fast — they’re built for the long term, just like our partnership with you. With this upgrade, we can move faster, innovate more often, and keep delivering features that make running your hotel easier.
NOTE: .NET is maintained by Microsoft and the open source community. Angular is maintained by Google and the open source community.
🧭 Say Hello to the New Account Portal
One of the most exciting changes in Version 5 is the new Account Portal.
In the past (with Version 4), you made changes like editing hotel settings, editing room types or setting hotel policies inside the extranet. But now, as Softinn has grown into a multi-product platform, that approach no longer works well. So, we decided to make a change.
With Version 5, you now have a centralized portal designed just for hotel owners and administrators — and it’s already live.
Here’s what’s new:
- 🏨 Manage multiple properties from one place
- 👥 Invite and manage users — assign roles to your staff
- 💰 Set tax rules that apply across products (PMS, booking engine, etc.)
- 🚪 And of course, an easier, faster, cleaner interface
This new portal is your main entry point to the Softinn ecosystem moving forward. We believe the Account Portal makes it easier for administrators (or hotel owners) to manage all their products from one place.
