June 2026 Product Updates

Time flies—June marks the final month of the first half of the year. As you look back at your yearly goals, have they been achieved, or are they still in progress? At Softinn, we’re glad to share that we are firmly on track with our roadmap so far.

In Q2, we’ve successfully launched Booking Engine Version 5. This month, we’re also gearing up to release the new Softinn Task module, bringing us one step closer to a more complete and streamlined hotel operations platform.

As usual, the following is the product updates.

PMS

New Features

  • Daily PMS Availability and Rates generation Azure function runs daily at 11 PM so the heavy computer paperwork happens late at night when staff and guests aren’t using the system, keeping the software fast and smooth during the day.
  • Generates Availability and Rates for room types and active rate plans for 1.5 years ahead so your hotel always maintains a continuous 1.5-year look-ahead calendar, automatically opening up tomorrow’s future date for early-bird travellers without anyone having to do it manually.

Improvements

  • Add Room Type triggers availability generation so the system instantly sets up the calendar pages for that new room, making sure it shows up as “ready to be booked” with the correct number of spaces available.
  • Enabling a Rate Plan triggers rate generation so the system can calculate the baseline costs, weekend rules, and seasonal pricing behind the scenes, getting the price math ready for the public.
  • Mapping a room type to an active rate plan triggers rate generation so the room type and the price plan are finally glued together, instantly creating a finished package that guests can actually view and buy online.

The new booking engine has gone live. Many of you have updated the website URL on your official websites. Thanks.

Next is rerouting the old URL (starting with booking.mysoftinn.com) to the new URL (starting with be.mysoftinn.com). We will commence this gradually, and you do NOT have to do anything.

  • Block Payment Processing from Cancelled Bookings will send a Payment received from cancelled booking email to booking@mysoftinn.com so the team is instantly alerted if a guest accidentally sends money for a cancelled stay, allowing staff to quickly issue a refund or contact the guest.
  • Update Calendar date picker to allow disabled date to be selectable so staff can click on unavailable or blocked-out dates to see exactly why they are unavailable.
  • Update Guest Arrivals icon so staff can instantly spot incoming guests at a glance on the dashboard using a clearer, more recognizable visual marker.
  • Hides admin action buttons on Booking Log for non admin user so regular staff members cannot accidentally delete, override, or change sensitive booking data that they shouldn’t be messing with.
  • Allow non admin users to view booking logs so regular team members can still look up booking histories and find the information they need to help guests without needing an manager to log in for them.
  • Update font color weight size on booking detail page so the most important details pop out clearly, making the page much easier to read quickly during a busy check-in.
  • Update text colors on Booking Sales by Booking Source report and Marketing report so the charts and tables are easier to read.

Bug Fixes

  • Resetting the selected room type during a calendar view update to prevent staff from losing their place and having to re-select the room they were just looking at every time the calendar refreshes or switches views.

Task

We’re in final preparation to launch Task, a brand-new tool to help hotel staff manage operations and daily tasks more efficiently. Task is the hub of all hotel tasks (e.g., housekeeping, work orders, etc.). Stay tuned.
