June 2026 Product Updates

Time flies—June marks the final month of the first half of the year. As you look back at your yearly goals, have they been achieved, or are they still in progress? At Softinn, we’re glad to share that we are firmly on track with our roadmap so far.

In Q2, we’ve successfully launched Booking Engine Version 5. This month, we’re also gearing up to release the new Softinn Task module, bringing us one step closer to a more complete and streamlined hotel operations platform.

As usual, the following is the product updates.

PMS

New Features

  • Daily PMS Availability and Rates generation Azure function runs daily at 11 PM so the heavy computer paperwork happens late at night when staff and guests aren’t using the system, keeping the software fast and smooth during the day.
  • Generates Availability and Rates for room types and active rate plans for 1.5 years ahead so your hotel always maintains a continuous 1.5-year look-ahead calendar, automatically opening up tomorrow’s future date for early-bird travellers without anyone having to do it manually.
  • Allow housekeepers to login to both v4 and v5 Task module after migration so they can still see and manage their room cleaning tasks without any disruption while switching over to the new system.
  • Redirects booking.mysoftinn.com to be.mysoftinn.com so you are automatically sent to the updated website.
  • Allow access the admin pages by go to booking.mysoftinn.com/admin so you can still reach the control panel.

Improvements

  • Add Room Type triggers availability generation so the system instantly sets up the calendar pages for that new room, making sure it shows up as “ready to be booked” with the correct number of spaces available.
  • Enabling a Rate Plan triggers rate generation so the system can calculate the baseline costs, weekend rules, and seasonal pricing behind the scenes, getting the price math ready for the public.
  • Mapping a room type to an active rate plan triggers rate generation so the room type and the price plan are finally glued together, instantly creating a finished package that guests can actually view and buy online.
  • The administrator’s holiday tracker now lets you filter by specific years so that managers can easily view past schedules or plan ahead for upcoming dates.
  • The main property inventory calendar now displays public holidays for both the current year and future years so that staff can accurately track room availability and pricing around long weekends and festive seasons.
  • When using the quick update feature to apply changes across a specific date range, the pop-up hint will now display all current and upcoming public holidays so that users don’t have to navigate away to double-check holiday dates before making bulk adjustments.
  • When administrators change a hotel’s status to banned or signed out, the system will instantly wipe out access for all users linked to that property so that unauthorized personnel are blocked immediately and sensitive data remains secure.

Bug Fixes

  • The holidays that were accidentally left out of the older setup will be fully restored once the new version goes live to prevent gaps or scheduling errors in the system’s calendar.

The new booking engine has gone live. Many of you have updated the website URL on your official websites. Thanks.

Next is rerouting the old URL (starting with booking.mysoftinn.com) to the new URL (starting with be.mysoftinn.com). We will commence this gradually, and you do NOT have to do anything.

New Features

  • Improve Image Upload functionality so photos upload much faster and look crisp and clear to guests.
  • Guest Arrival Card on report page has been split into 3 cards (Arrival, In-House & Departure) so staff can instantly find exactly who is arriving, staying, or leaving without sifting through mixed data.
  • Added Search Engine Optimization (SEO) metatags to Booking Engine so your website shows up higher in Google search results to attract more direct bookings.
  • Added sort by Return on Investment (ROI) on Marketing Campaign report page so you can immediately see which ads are making the most money and which ones are wasting your budget.
  • Improve Calendar date picker functionality so guests and staff can select their travel dates smoothly without any frustrating misclicks.
  • Save your favorite search combinations as quick presets (currently available on the Booking List page) so you don’t have to re-enter your search criteria every time.
  • Add “Electric Vehicle (EV) Charging Station” option to the amenity list so this properties can clearly highlight this feature for guests.

  • Block Payment Processing from Canceled Bookings. Fault prevention when the payment gateway service providers double-trigger or wrongly trigger.
  • Update Calendar date picker to allow disabled date to be selectable so staff can click on unavailable or blocked-out dates to see exactly why they are unavailable.
  • Update Guest Arrivals icon so staff can instantly spot incoming guests at a glance on the dashboard using a clearer, more recognizable visual marker.
  • Hides admin action buttons on Booking Log for non admin user so regular staff members cannot accidentally delete, override, or change sensitive booking data that they shouldn’t be messing with.
  • Allow non admin users to view booking logs so regular team members can still look up booking histories and find the information they need to help guests without needing an manager to log in for them.
  • Update font color weight size on booking detail page so the most important details pop out clearly, making the page much easier to read quickly during a busy check-in.
  • Update text colors on Booking Sales by Booking Source report and Marketing report so the charts and tables are easier to read.
  • Add WordPress plugin to the Tools & Plugins page so you can easily connect your website’s features.
  • Block users who have no active permissions from logging in so that empty or inactive accounts can’t access the platform.

Bug Fixes

  • Resetting the selected room type during a calendar view update to prevent staff from losing their place and having to re-select the room they were just looking at every time the calendar refreshes or switches views.
  • Fix incorrect wording on Guest In-House & Guest Departure page to prevent front-desk staff and guests from getting confused about check-out times and status.
  • Fix Room Type description line breaking on Booking Ticket pdf to prevent text from cutting off awkwardly, making the receipt look unprofessional to customers.
  • Fix auto apply promo code not showing ineligible reason to prevent guests from getting frustrated when a discount code doesn’t work without knowing why.
  • Fix error message on Calendar View if Room Type is not mapped to prevent the calendar screen from freezing or showing confusing warnings when a room isn’t fully set up yet.
  • Fixed a bug where certain bookings were missing from the Statement Report based on their departure dates to prevent revenue and reservations from being left unrecorded.

FATboy Hotel Kiosk

  • In the kiosk mode, we disabled the guest name editor so the guest can’t edit the name scanned by the identity reader.

  • Be more tolerant of slow internet connections upon check-out by reducing the search window. Added a loading indicator too.
  • Reject early check-ins with a prompt. The hotel can relax it by configuring the early check-in buffer.

We’re in final preparation to launch Task, a brand-new tool to help hotel staff manage operations and daily tasks more efficiently. Task is the hub of all hotel tasks (e.g., housekeeping, work orders, etc.). Stay tuned.

  • Integrate test payment API so you can now run practice transactions through a safe practice mode to check how billing works without charging real money to any bank cards.
  • Block user without access from logging in so anyone who does not have an active or approved account will be stopped right at the login screen, keeping unauthorized people out of your system.
  • Remove user access after hotel signout or ban so the moment an employee checks out or is restricted from a hotel, their system access is cancelled instantly to keep your business data safe.
  • Generate Property Management System availability events for room type created and activated actions so the very second you create and turn on a new room type, the system automatically tells your main booking platform that these rooms are ready to be booked.

  • Fixed broken menu links so clicking the backend navigation links will now take you directly to the correct page instead of getting stuck or loading a blank screen.
  • Navbar user tab is a dropdown so it keeps your main menu clean and organized, hiding personal settings until you click on your profile name to open the options.
  • Updated user invitation email content so newly invited team members will receive a much clearer welcome message that looks professional and makes it simple for them to join your account.
  • Removed old LGH pages so we have cleared away outdated pages that are no longer being used, making sure no one accidentally visits or gets confused by old screens.

  • Fixed subscription invoice duplications to prevent the system from accidentally creating two bills with the exact same invoice number, which keeps your accounting records clean and accurate.
  • Swapped Billplz and Stripe Payment Links prevent customers from being sent to the wrong checkout page, ensuring that local and credit card payments go to their rightful places without any confusion.
