September 2026 Product Updates

It’s hard to believe that we’ve been sharing product updates for more than 12 months now. With every update, we’ve continued to bring meaningful improvements and plenty of value to our customers — making your day-to-day hotel operations simpler, faster, and more efficient. Looking back, it’s been an exciting journey of continuous improvement, and we’re grateful to have our customers along for the ride.

And now, we’ve reached another important milestone: the PMS migration has begun. This marks the beginning of the work before we fully migrate the PMS to our new platform. Our other products have already transitioned and are enjoying the benefits of the new platform — including improved speed, a more modern experience, and greater user-friendliness. We’re excited to bring those same benefits to the PMS, and this marks the beginning of the final stretch.

As usual, here’s what’s new in this month’s product updates.

PMS

New Features

• Added a Proforma Invoice Editor so you can create and edit proforma invoices directly in PMS.

Improvements

• Added a Proforma Invoice list report so you can see all your proforma invoices in one place.
• Added the ability to void a Proforma Invoice so you can cancel one that’s no longer needed.
• Updated the Activity Log so it runs more efficiently.
• Made behind-the-scenes improvements to hotel data tracking so things run more smoothly overall.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed guest search to prevent it from missing guests when searching by phone number, social security number, or email.
• Fixed the booking source filter on the booking source report to prevent it from leaving out valid booking sources.
• Fixed the Folio Transaction report to prevent it from missing entries.
• Fixed the Checked In status to prevent it from reverting back to New.

Channel Manager

Booking Engine

Softinn added our first AI feature – Adam, the AI-powered reservation agent.

New Features

• Added a Guest List showing all guests arriving at your property so you can see who’s checking in at a glance.
• Added the ability to bookmark favorite reports on the Report page so you can quickly get back to them.

Improvements

• Improved how Adam handles pre- and post-booking conversations so guests get better responses.
• Updated Adam so it can now help guests with room change requests.
• Updated Adam so it can now direct guests to hotel staff or the self-service page when needed.
• Updated Adam so it can now answer questions about Malaysia taxes.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed access permissions for editing rate plans to prevent users from having the wrong level of access.
• Fixed the calendar date picker to prevent a selected date from staying selected when you don’t apply it.

• Fixed a bug that leads to a corrupted database.

Task

Task is the hub of all hotel tasks (e.g., housekeeping, maintenance work orders, etc.). It’s live. Here is the link https://task.mysoftinn.com/. Talk to us so we can onboard your account to use it.

New Features

• Updated cards on the home page with color coding so you can tell them apart at a glance.
• Added “Reset” and “Now” buttons to the time picker used when creating or updating a maintenance task to close a room so staff can set the time faster.
• Cleaned up some internal systems behind the scenes so things run more smoothly overall.

Improvements

• Added a date and time picker for the “close room” duration when creating or updating a maintenance task so you can set exactly how long a room stays closed.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed the advanced filter to prevent floors for inactive room types from appearing in the floor list.
• Fixed the task detail page to redirect you to the task list page when you switch properties, preventing you from viewing a task that no longer applies.
• Fixed the room detail page to prevent the app from crashing when you switch hotels.

CMS (Content Management System)

New Features

• Added a rate limit and clearer error messages to password reset requests on the login and forgot password pages so failed attempts are easier to understand and accounts stay protected from abuse.

Improvements

• Updated pages to stop loading old data in the background when you switch hotel or leave a page so you no longer see outdated information load in.
• Updated Manage Photos and other form pages to redirect you back to their list or gallery page when you switch hotel so you land somewhere relevant instead of a page for the wrong hotel.

Account Portal

New Features

• Added Payout Email and Invoice Email fields to invoice billing details so you can set separate email addresses for payouts and invoices.
• Added header customization for the guest-facing page so you can personalize how it looks for your guests.
• Added a master toggle for individual e-invoicing to invoice billing details so you can turn it on or off independently.
• Added an e-invoice upload template for booking service fees so Admins can upload it directly.

Improvements

• Updated invoice billing details to appear on their own page so it’s easier to find and manage.
• Updated the subscription invoice PDF template so it has a refreshed look.
• Separated the payout email section within invoice billing details so it’s easier to manage payout emails on their own.

Bug Fixes

• Fixed the reset password link to prevent it from being reused after you’ve already set a new password.
• Fixed the E-GHL payment gateway test to prevent it from not opening the live version properly.
