How to Add PMS Tax on Softinn Account Portal?


Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1 : Login to Softinn Account Portal.

Step 2 : Select the right property.

Step 3 : Go to ‘Other Setup’.

Step 4 : Click on ‘PMS Tax’.

Step 5 : By default, Sales & Service Tax and Tourism Tax are created by default for you.

Step 6 : If the hotel is located in States where you need to collect Local Service Charges, like Heritage Fee in Melaka, it will be created by default for you too.

Step 7 : You may edit the tax, if needed.

Step 8 : To add new tax, click on ‘Add PMS Tax’.

Step 9 : Fill in the necessary fields like Tax Code, Tax Name and Charge Amount.

Step 10 : You can choose to map tax to the LHDN Tax Category for e-Invoicing purposes. The mapping is done automatically for the default tax created by the system.

Step 11 : Then, set the Tax to be calculated based on charges or subtotal, applicable to reservation or product and services, and the respective charge unit.

Step 12 : Turn on the toggle for ‘Is Tax Mandatory For All Charges?’ if you wish the tax to be applied automatically to the reservation for all charges.

Step 13 : Once done, click ‘Save’.
