Hello Softinn PMS user & Softinn BE subscriber!

Softinn offers 3 options to our subscribers in booking payment setting, which are as below:

(1) Collected by Softinn;  (2) Collected by You (Host);  (3) Collected by You using Payment Gateway

If you choose to use the 3rd option: Collected by You using Payment Gateway, AND would like to register with Paypal, we provide the following guides for you to apply for payment gateway account with Paypal.

How to Apply for Payment Gateway Account with Paypal in Softinn Account Portal?

Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1 : Login to Softinn Account Portal.

Step 2 : Select the right property.

Step 3 : Go to ‘Other Setup’.

Step 4 : Search for ‘Payment Gateway’.

Step 5 : Click ‘Paypal’ to setup the payment gateway.

Step 6 : Click ‘Learn Now’ to view the guide on how to apply for an Paypal account, if you do not have an account yet.

Step 7: Click here to apply https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/merchant

Step 8: Click on “Sign Up” at the top right corner of the page

Step 9: Select “Receive payments from Paypal” and click next

Step 10: Key in your email address and click next

Step 11: Fill in necessary information (Business & Personal info)

Step 12: Check your email to confirm your account by clicking link in email sent by Paypal

Step 13: Go to https://www.paypal.com/businesswallet/money and click “Link a bank account”.

Step 14: Verify your bank account

Step 15: Login to https://developer.paypal.com/ , to get your Client ID & Client Secret key

• From the left panel on the screen, click “My Apps & Credentials“, and then choose “LIVE”
• On the REST API app, click “Create App”
• Put your property name or company name as the App Name, and click on “Create App”
• Copy the Client ID & Client Secret

Step 16 : Once you get the Client ID and Client Secret from Paypal, on the Live section, click ‘Edit’.

Step 17 : Then, fill in the Client ID and Client Secret accordingly.

Step 18 : Once done, click ‘Save’.

Notes : You may click ‘Test Live’ to test the payment page with Paypal.

Step 19 : After you have setup your payment gateway account, remember to turn on the payment gateway on :

1. Softinn Extranet to use the payment gateway for booking collections
2. Softinn PMS to use online payment gateway to collect payments
