How to Setup Booking Payment Setting for Malaysian Subscriber on Extranet

Hello Softinn Subscribers! Softinn offers flexibility to our Subscribers to choose which booking payment setting he/she prefers to use. The flexibility is only offered to our merchants who have paid for Softinn’s subscription plan (exclude free and trial plans). There are 3 options in booking payment setting, which are as below:

(1) Collected by Softinn
(2) Collected by You (Using Payment Gateway)
(3) Collected by You (Host)

Step 1 : Login to Softinn Extranet

Step 2 : Select the correct property

Step 3 : Click on ‘Other Setup’ and search for ‘Payment Gateway’.

Step 4 :  Choose “Payment Gateway Setting”

Step 5: Choose either one of the payment setting you prefer (i.e.: Collected by Softinn/Collected by You/ Collected by You (Using Payment Gateway)

Option 1 : Collected By Softinn

  1. If you choose to ‘Collected By Softinn’, Softinn will handle booking payment collection for you with some charges.
  2. We do settlement to your bank account twice a month.
  3. We also handle guest cancellations and refunds for you.

Option 2 : Collected by You (Payment Gateway)

  1. If you choose Collected by You (Payment Gateway), your guest will pay the booking payment directly to your payment gateway account. 
  2. This method enables you to get a faster cash flow.
  3. But still, it requires you to handle the cancellation and refund of the guest.
  4. You may activate or deactivate the payment gateway as you wish.
  5. Make sure you have completed the payment gateway setup on Softinn Account Portal before starting using it.

Option 3 : Collected by You

  1. If you choose ‘Collected by You’, Softinn will not collect any payment on your behalf.
  2. You need to contact the guest to request for booking payment manually.
  3. Make sure to set up your direct booking contact setting here, so your guest would be able to find your contact.
  4. This option requires you to handle the cancellation and refund of the guest manually too.

Step 6: Once done, click ‘Save Changes’.
