In this guide, we will show How to Add More Rooms to an Existing Room Type on Softinn Account Portal (For PMS Users).

How to Add More Rooms to an Existing Room Type on Softinn Account Portal (For PMS Users)?


Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1 : Login to Softinn Account Portal.

Step 2 : Choose the right property.

Step 3 : Click on ‘Room Type’.

Step 4 : From this page, you can view the list of room types that you have set up before.

Step 5 : In this example, King Bedroom currently has 6 units. 

Step 6 : Your hotel wants to add 2 more rooms to King Bedroom, making it 8 units of King Bedroom in total.

Step 7 : To increase the number of units, click on the ‘Edit’ button for King Bedroom. 

Step 8 : Then, update the number of rooms and default no of rooms to sell fields.

Step 9 : After that, click on the ‘Save’ button.

Step 10 : Subsequently, you can proceed to add the room numbers for the additional 2 units added.

Step 11 : To add the room number, make sure you select the right room type. In this scenario, it is ‘King Bedroom’.

Step 12 : Go to ‘Action’ and select ‘Edit Room Number’.

Step 13 : Then, click on the ‘Add Room’ button to add the room number. In this example, I label the room number to be 307 and 308.

Step 14 : Once you have successfully added the room number, you can see the newly added room numbers are reflected on the PMS Calendar page.

Step 15 : After that, please go to the PMS Inventory page. As you can see on this page, it shows the availability is underselling now.

Step 16 : Click on the ‘Sync from PMS Calendar’ button to update the availability to the latest number following the number in your PMS Calendar.

Notes :

For STAAH or Siteminder Channel Manager user:
1. Please inform your Channel Manager providers to update the number of rooms on the Channel Manager Dashboard, and
2. Login to your Channel Manager extranet to make sure the availability has been synced and reflected correctly.(Note: please allow 2-3 minutes for the sync to update STAAH or Siteminder)
