Giving away promotions or discounts is often one of the ways to attract bookings. 

Managing a promotion campaign is not easy if you were to do it manually when it comes to tracking and analyzing the performance of the promotion campaign.

The Softinn Promo Code system offers you a Lazada-like promo code system that helps hoteliers in terms of creating a promo code with the specified criteria, managing the promotion usage, and analyzing the promotion performance.

Steps to Create Promo Code for Your Hotel Guests Using Softinn Extranet

Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1: Login to Softinn Extranet

Step 2: Select the right property.

Step 3: Click “MORE”

Step 4: You go to the “Booking Engine” tab, and select “Promo Code“.

Step 5: Then, click on the “Create Promo Code” button to go to the Promotions Page.

Step 6: There’re 3 promotion type for you to choose from: Basic, Early Booker, and Last Minute.

• For the Early Booker Type, you will need to set the number of days before the check-in date for the guests to be eligible for the Early Booker Promotion.
• For the Last Minute Type, you will need to set the number of days for the guest to check-in to be eligible for the Last Minute Booking Promotion.

Basic Promotion Campaign

Step 1: Choose the Basic Promotion type

Step 2: By default, you are the issuer.

Step 3: For the promo status, you can choose the status to be Active when you want to start running the promotion campaign.

Step 9: Do remember to update the status to Inactive when you want to stop the promotion campaign.

Step 10: Insert your promotion campaign name.

• The name will be shown on the Softinn promo widget

Step 11: Then, insert the quantity and the description of the promotion campaign for your own hotel record.

Step 12: Click “Continue“.

Step 13: You may insert the value of the promo code. 

• It can be in percentage or flat rate.

Step 14: Next, you may insert the promotion code.

• Kindly take note that special characters and spacing are not allowed.

Step 15: On the Promotion Valid Date section, you can set the booking period that guests are allowed to book to be entitled to this promotion campaign.

• You will be able to define if the promo code can be applied to only certain days in the week and Public Holidays.
• Besides, you may set if this promo code can be applied on discounted rates too.

Step 16: Next, you can set the Check–in Date section, this means when is the eligible check–in period that is entitled to this promotion campaign.

Step 17: Then, set the cancellation policy that is applicable to this promo code and click “Continue“.

• If you want to setup the cancellation policy, you can go to the Cancellation Policy page.
• You may further define the setting for your promo code under “Advance Setting”, if needed.

Step 18: You may set if this promo code is open for all guests, can be applied separately to each room night or to generate unique codes

Note : You can click on the tooltips icon to find out more information about the settings.

Step 19: Then, click “Continue“.

Step 20: Here, you may set which room type this promo code can be applied to.

Step 21: Click “Continue” again to view the summary.

Step 22: Once done, you can click on the “Submit” button to save this promo code.

Early Booker Promotion Campaign

Step 1: Choose the Early Booker Promotion type

Step 2: You will need to set the number of days for the guest to check-in to be eligible for the Early Booker Booking Promotion.

Click on the Used Codes tab to view the reservations that used the promo code before.

You may also view the ‘Unique Codes’ tab to view the list of unique codes generated with the status, if you set the promotion to generate unique codes for you.

Click on the ‘Option’ Icon and you may export the unique codes to Excel or PDF, if needed.
