Scenario: You are a new staff member or hotel manager logging in to Softinn PMS for the first time. Understanding the main navigation, search tools, and daily summary indicators on your dashboard ensures you can complete essential front-desk tasks quickly.

Steps to Log In to Softinn PMS & Navigate the Dashboard :

Phase 1: Logging In & Quick Search

• Step 1: Open Softinn PMS and log in with your account credentials.
• Step 2: Select the correct property from the top selector menu. Upon logging in, you will land directly on the Dashboard.
• Step 3 (Global Search): Use the middle Search Bar to instantly locate specific records. You can search by:
  • Reservation Number
  • Customer / Guest Name
  • Room Number
  • Invoice Number
• Step 4 (Page Jump): To navigate directly to a specific module, type the module name in the Search pages box located at the top right of the navigation bar.

Phase 2: Understanding Dashboard Key Sections

1. Navigation Bar (Top Menu)

The top navigation bar provides access to all core modules:

• Home, Rooms, Front Office, Reservation, Calendar, Operation, Back Office, Customer, Accounting, Report, and Setup.

2. Quick Actions (Left Panel)

Direct shortcuts for daily operational tasks:

• Check In: Process a guest check-in.
• Check Out: Finalize a guest check-out.
• Create Reservation: Create a new booking manually.
• Reservation: View your full reservation list.
• Room Status: Inspect real-time status across all physical rooms.
• Housekeeping: Launches the dedicated housekeeping management panel in a new browser tab.

3. Today’s Overview Cards

Located next to Quick Actions, these live counters track current daily movement:

• Pending Check-Out Today: Highlights how many departing guests have yet to check out.
• Pending Check-In Today: Highlights how many arriving guests have yet to check in.
• In-House: Displays the live number of occupied rooms out of your total inventory.

4. Room Status Panel & Report Shortcuts

Located below the Quick Actions section:

• Status Breakdown: Shows real-time counts for rooms categorized as Vacant, Arrival, In House, Departure, Housekeeping, or Out of Order.
• Report Shortcuts: Instant access buttons to launch the Daily Report or view All Reports.

Notes: For new users, a short introductory video module is pinned on the right panel of the dashboard for quick onboarding and feature walk-throughs.
