In this video, you will find out how to check out a guest after the reservation has missed the supposed check-out date in Softinn PMS.
Scenario : Imagine that you notice Leo’s reservation is still in the In-House Guest list status even though he has physically left your hotel 2 days ago. You forgot to perform Check-Out in PMS. Let’s find out how to properly check-out this reservation in Softinn PMS 🙂
Steps to Check Out a Guest after It has Missed the Supposed Check-Out date :
Follow the guidelines below:
Step 1 : Login to Softinn PMS.
Step 2 : Select the correct property
Step 3 : From the PMS dashboard, click on the “In-House” guest lists.
- Here’s the list of guests
- In this scenario, you saw that Leo’s reservation is in this list even though his check-out date has already passed.
Step 4 : Click on the “View Details” icon to view the detailed summary of Leo’s Reservation and then you will be redirected to the In-House Guest page.
- From the In-House Guest page, you can see that there’s no outstanding payment and refundable security deposit has been refunded to Leo. Everything is cleared, it is just that you forgot to click “Check-Out” in the PMS when Leo left your hotel the other day.
Step 5 : To check out Leo’s reservation, all you need to do is by clicking on the arrow icon next to the View Folio button and then select the “Check-Out” option.
Step 6 : After that, click on the “Edit & Check-Out” button.
Step 7 : At the guest departure time, it is important that you select the supposed departure date and time. In this example, it will be 27th Sept 2022 at 11.30 AM.
- Once done, click the “Proceed to Check-Out” button.
Now, you have successfully checked out Leo’s reservation in PMS.
