Transfer Folio Balance between Folios in Softinn PMS

Transfer Folio Balance from Main Folio to Sub Folio :

Imagine that you have a guest that would like to separate the miscellaneous charges from the room charges in the guest folio.

Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1 : Login to Softinn PMS

Step 2 : Select the correct property

Step 3 : Click “Reservation” and click Guest Folio for the correct reservation

Step 4 : On the Guest Folio, click “Add Subfolio” button to split the miscellaneous charges from room charges

Step 5 : Go back to the Main folio and click “Move” button to move the miscellaneous charges to sub folio 01

Step 6 : On the Main Folio, you would see the folio balance has become negative amount. It means there is an extra balance in the Main Folio

Step 7 : You could transfer the balance in Main Folio to sub folio 01 by clicking “Transfer Balance” button.

You could select the payment method & payment account within the payment transaction that happen in the Folio

Step 8 : On the subfolio 01, you could view the payment transferred balance from the Main folio

Transfer Folio Balance from Folio F01 to Folio F02 of a Group Reservation :

Imagine that you have a guest that has a group reservation for Villa Room and Deluxe Room. The guest has made an extra payment on Folio 01 and he would like to transfer the folio balance to Folio 02.

Step 1 : Login to Softinn PMS

Step 2 : Select the correct property

Step 3 : Click “Reservation” and click Guest Folio for the correct reservation

Step 4 : To transfer the folio balance of Folio F01 to Folio F02, on Folio F01, click “Transfer Balance” button

Step 5 : Insert the transfer amount, choose the payment method & payment account, Then, select Folio F02. Once done, click “Transfer Balance” button

You could select the payment method & payment account within the payment transaction that happen in the Folio

Step 6 : Go to Folio F02 and you could view the payment received from the Transfer Balance from Folio F01

Step 7 : You could see how the payment was reflected on the Shift Summary Report after you have transferred the folio balance from Folio F01 to Folio F02

On Shift Summary Report, you could view the payment has been split to Folio F01 and Folio F02

Step 8 : Let’s say the guest has changed his mind NOT to transfer the folio balance to Folio F02. You can void the Transfer performed by clicking on the “Void” button of the transferred folio transaction
