Hello Softinn PMS users!

Scenario : Your hotel has a Presidential Suite that will be temporarily closed for renovation or will no longer be sold online. To prevent new bookings from coming in through OTA channels, you need to properly deactivate the room type in Softinn PMS.

Steps to Deactivate Room Type in Softinn

Follow the guidelines below :

Step 1 : Go to the Calendar page.

Step 2 : Navigate to the room type that you would like to deactivate.

Please ensure there are no future reservations and allocations on the affected room type.

Step 3 :  If there is a reservation , please reassign the guest to another room type.

Step 4 : Check if the details are correct before save.

Step 5 : Once done, click on the “Save Changes” button to save.

The allocation need to be removed too if there is.

Step 6 : Right click on the allocation.

Step 7 : Then, click on the remove allocation button.

The room type now is cleared from future reservations and allocations

Step 8 : Continue by navigating to the Setup tab and choose the Room Type & No. menu.

Step 9 : Select on the affected room type and deactivate all room numbers.

Step 10 : After deactivating all room numbers, edit the built unit of the room type.

Step 11 : Click on the edit button.

Step  12 : Set the No. of Rooms to 0.

Step  13 : Once done, click on the “Save Changes” button to save.

No. of Rooms has been updated to 0.

Step 14 : Next, deactivate the room type by switching off the toggle.

The room type has been successfully deactivated.

Step 15 : Go to the Calendar page to confirm if the room type has been deactivated or not.

Presidential Suite is not listed meaning the room type has been deactivated.

Note : If the room is connected to Softinn Channel Manager, please unmap the room type . If you are a STAAH and Siteminder Channel Manager user, please inform that you will unlisted the room type and ensure that the room type has been unlisted in OTA.
