Scenario: You want to run a marketing campaign on a specific channel (e.g., a Telegram channel, Instagram bio, or an email newsletter) and need to track exactly how many bookings and revenue that specific link generates.

Steps to Set Up and Track Booking Sources


Follow the steps below:

  • Step 1: Log in to the Softinn Booking Engine and select the correct property.
  • Step 2: Click on Other Setup from the main menu.
  • Step 3: Under the All Settings section, click on Booking Source Tracking. (Note: Default sources like Google, Direct, and LGH are already pre-created for you).
  • Step 4: Click the Create Booking Source button to add a new tracking channel.
  • Step 5: Fill in the details (e.g., name the source “Telegram”) and ensure the status is set to Active. Click Save.
  • Step 6: Find your newly created source in the list and click the Link Icon to copy the unique tracking URL.
  • Step 7: Paste and use this specific link in your marketing materials for that channel.

Phase 2: Track and Analyze Performance

  • Step 8: To see which channels are driving revenue, navigate to Report in the menu.
  • Step 9: Click View on the Booking Source Performance card.
  • Step 10: Choose your desired Date Range to filter the data.
  • Step 11: Review the general overview dashboard, then scroll down to the Overview by Booking Source section to see detailed analytics (bookings, revenue, etc.) for each individual source.

Notes: Always make sure to use the exact link generated from the Link Icon. If you use your standard website URL instead of the tracking link, the data will default to “Direct” and won’t be credited to your campaign.
