April is here! Time flies so fast for Softinn Product Team. We are back with this month’s product update. We bring PesoPay Payment Gateway for our users in the Philippines, more access controls for our PMS users, and improvements to Tax Setup for Channel Manager for our PMS and channel manager users.
We have integrated another payment gateway to our Booking Engine and PMS for our users in the Philippines. PesoPay Payment Gateway is now available! If you are our BE and/or PMS users from the Philippines, you can now collect payment through our BE and/or PMS via PesoPay. The payment status will be automatically updated.
For our BE users, you should proceed to the Payment Gateway Settings page and choose “Collected By You (Using Payment Gateway). Then you can begin to set up the payment gateway with your PesoPay account. As for our PMS users, you can set up your payment gateway on the PMS Payment Gateway Settings page.
Please note that this feature is only available for our users in the Philippines. You are also required to have a PesoPay account to use this feature. If you don’t have an account, you can email us at email@example.com to apply for one.

We have been receiving a lot of feedback on our Tax Setup for Channel Manager feature that we released at the end of July 2021 (v2.79.0). Based on the feedback we’ve gathered, we have improved this feature to account for more conditions and tax setups on OTAs. If you are currently using Softinn Channel Manager, Staah, or Siteminder, you can map your taxes to your OTAs and have them automatically added to the reservations received through OTAs.
You can set whether the tax to be mapped is included in your room charges on the selected OTA, or not. This will tell the system how to add the tax to the reservation accordingly.

In this release, we also included user access controls to add cash float and withdraw cash through PMS Collection Summary Report. By default, the accesses are granted to LodgeOwners. Only users with access granted will be able to perform the actions.
