Hello Softinn Task Users!
On Softinn Task, Front Desk users can create an inspection task from the Room Status page.
Let’s look into two scenarios.
Scenario 1: You want Room Q19 to be inspected as soon as it’s created, without a cleaning task.
Scenario 2: You want a room’s cleaning task to automatically become an inspection task once the housekeeper finishes cleaning.
Let’s check out this video to find out how to create an inspection task on the Room Status page.
Step 1: Log in to Softinn Task and select the correct property.
Step 2: Go to the ‘Front Desk’ tab and click on ‘Room Status’.
Step 3: To create a task, click the ‘Add Task’ button.
Step 4: On the ‘Create Task’ pop-up, select the Room Type, Room No., and Task Date.
Scenario 1: Creating a Task Directly as an Inspection Task
Step 5: Select ‘Inspect’ as the Status, so the task is created directly as an inspection task.
Step 6: ‘Need Inspection?’ will be ticked automatically.
Step 7: You can select an Inspector, or leave it unassigned.
Note: If left unassigned, any inspector can claim the task themselves once it’s ready to be inspected.
Scenario 2: Creating a Cleaning Task That Becomes an Inspection Task
Step 8: Select ‘Dirty’ as the Status, so the room goes through cleaning first.
Step 9: Select the Priority and Assigned To, as needed.
Step 10: Tick ‘Need Inspection?’.
Step 11: Once ticked, you can select an Inspector, or leave it unassigned.
Note: If left unassigned, any inspector can claim the task themselves once it’s ready to be inspected.
Step 12: Once done, click ‘Save’.
Note: If you set the Status to ‘Dirty’, the inspection task will only be created once the housekeeper completes the cleaning task, at which point the status will change from Dirty to Inspect.
Hope this video helps you on how to create an inspection task on the Room Status page! 🙂
