Overview of Housekeeping List Page in Softinn Task

Hello Softinn Task Users!

On Softinn Task, Front Desk users can get an overview of all housekeeping tasks on the Housekeeping List page.

Scenario: You’re a front desk officer who wants to check on today’s housekeeping tasks, then view and edit the details of a specific task.

Let’s check out this video to find out how to manage the Housekeeping List page in the Front Desk Module.

Step 1: Log in to Softinn Task and select the correct property.

Step 2: Go to the ‘Front Desk’ tab and click on ‘Housekeeping List’.

Step 3: At the top of the page, you will see a summary of task counts by status: Prep, Dirty, Cleaning, Inspect, Do Not Disturb, Ready, and Out of Order.

Step 4: You can filter the list by clicking on one of these statuses above.

Note: The colored dots next to each location in the list also indicate additional statuses, such as Dirty/Prep/Cleaning, CI/CO on the same day, Guest in Room, and Do Not Disturb.

Step 5: You can toggle ‘Show Status Dots’ on or off, depending on whether you want these indicators displayed in the list.

Note: Status Dots help you spot room conditions at a glance without opening each task. Your preference is saved independently for Room Status and Housekeeping List.

Step 6: Below the summary, all housekeeping tasks are listed in a table, showing the Priority, Room Number, Task Status, Room Status, Task Date, Start Time, End Time, and the Housekeeper and Inspector assigned for each task.

Step 7: You can use the search bar to look for a specific task, or filter tasks by Today’s Tasks, Today’s Unassigned Tasks, and Outstanding Last 7 Days. To apply more filters, you may click ‘Advanced Filter’ if needed.

Step 8: To create a new task, click the ‘Add Task’ button. Once completed, the created task will be shown in the list.

Step 9: To manage a specific task, click the ‘Action’ button for that task. For example, you can click ‘Start Cleaning’ to begin the cleaning process.

Step 10: You can also click ‘View’ to see the task’s full details, ‘Edit’ to make changes, or ‘Delete’ to remove the task.

Step 11: Going back to our scenario, click ‘View’ on the task for Room DR008 to see its full details.

Step 12: On the task details page, you’ll see the Room Type, Room Number, Priority, Task Status, and Task Date, along with the Housekeeper, Inspector, Room Status, Start Time, and End Time.

Step 13: Under ‘Remarks’, you can click ‘Add Remark’ to leave a note for the task.

Step 14: To make changes to the task, click ‘Edit’ from the Action dropdown to open the ‘Edit Task’ pop-up.

Step 15: Here, you can update the Task Date, Status, Priority, and Assignee, or tick ‘Need Inspection?’ if needed.
