Hello Softinn Task Users!
On Softinn Task, Front Desk users can view the Room Status page to get an overview of all rooms in the property.
Scenario: Imagine that you’re a front desk officer starting your shift and want to check the current status of all rooms.
Let’s check out this video to find out how to use the Room Status page in the Front Desk Module.
Step 1: Log in to Softinn Task and select the correct property.
Step 2: Go to the ‘Front Desk’ tab and click on ‘Room Status’.
Step 3: At the top of the page, you’ll see a summary of room counts by status: Ready, Arrival, In House, Departure, Housekeeping, and Out of Order.
Note: The colored dots on each room card also indicate additional statuses, such as Dirty/Prep/Cleaning, Guest in Room, Check In and Check Out on the same day, and Do Not Disturb.
Step 4: You can toggle ‘Show Status Dots’ on or off, depending on whether you want these indicators displayed on the room cards.
Step 5: Below the summary, all rooms in the property are listed as individual cards, showing the room number and room type.
Step 6: You can use the search bar to look for a specific room, or click the filter icon to narrow down the list further.
Note: You can also switch between different card view sizes using the layout icons on the right.
Step 7: To view more details about a specific room, click on the room card.
Step 8: On the room details page, you’ll see the room number, its current status, and room type at the top.
Step 9: Below that, there are three tabs: Cleaning Task, Maintenance Task, and Lost & Found, where you can view the respective records for that room.
Note: A red badge on a tab, such as on Maintenance Task, indicates the number of pending records under that tab.
Step 10: On the right side of the page, you can quickly create a Cleaning Task, Maintenance Task, or Lost & Found report, view the Guest Folio, or create a Reservation for the room.
Hope this video helps you on how to use the Room Status page in the Front Desk Module! 🙂
