Let’s imagine that you have a guest who will check-in on 3rd June for 2 nights for Deluxe Room. After his 1st night stay, the guest requests to upgrade the room to Villa Room for his 2nd night.

Steps to Handle the Guest Folio for Change of Room Type During Guest’s Stayover:
Follow the guidelines below:
Step 1 : Login to Softinn PMS
Step 2 : Select the correct property
Step 3 : Click “Reservation”
Step 4 : Click “Edit” button to edit the selected reservation
Step 5 : Firstly, you need to edit the Check-Out date for Deluxe Room type.
- In this example, untick the checkbox and change the date from 5th June to 4th June
Step 6 : Click “Update Room Details“
Step 7 : Then, you need to add the 2nd night for Villa Room type.
Step 8 : Again, untick the checkbox and insert the check-in & check-out date for the 2nd night.
- In this example, select 4th June for Check-In, and 5th June for Check-Out
Step 9 : Select the Villa Room type & room number
Step 10 : Insert the Daily Rates for Villa Room
Step 11 : Click “Add This Room“
Step 12 : Click “Save Reservation“
Step 13 : Click “Folio” button to open the guest folio for the reservations
Step 14 : You would need to transfer the payment of RM100 to Villa Room folio
Step 15 : Click “Transfer Balance” and insert the amount and choose the folio number
Step 16 : Click “Transfer Balance” button
Step 17 : Go to the Villa Room Folio and click “Add Payment” button to add the payment for the remaining amount
- Fill in the payment received amount and select the right payment account
- Click ” Save Payment“
