How to Edit Guest Folio in PMS for Guest Shorten / Extend Stay

Hello  Softinn PMS  users! Guest Folio features contain all transactions for each of the Hotel guests which include payment and charges. 

You can edit in the guest folio page when the guest would like to shorten or extend their stay at your Hotel.

Steps to Edit Guest Folio for Guest Shorten Stay:


Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1 : Go to Softinn PMS

Step 2 : Select the right property

Step 3 : Click RESERVATION” tab

Step 4 : Find the reservation number, click on the ‘Reservation No.

Step 5 : On the reservation form, Change the check out date depending on the guest request

Step 6 : Update the Room Charges. Click ‘Save Reservation

Step 7 : Click ‘Go to Guest Folio

  • Reversal for the Room Charges will be auto-posted by the system

Step 8 : Click ‘Add Refund‘ to refund the remaining payment received.

  • Fill in the required details and click ‘Add Refund

Steps Edit Guest Folio for Guest Extend Stay:


Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1 : Go to Softinn PMS

Step 2 : Select the right property

Step 3 : Click RESERVATION” tab

Step 4 : Find the reservation number, click on the ‘Reservation No.

Step 5 : On the reservation form, Change the check out date depending on the guest request

Step 6 : Update the Room Charges. Click ‘Save Reservation

Step 7 : Click ‘Go to Guest Folio

Step 8 : Click ‘Add Payment‘ button to add the payment for the additional room charges

  • Fill in the payment received amount and select the right payment account
  • Click ‘Add Payment
