How to Setup for Siteminder Integration on Softinn PMS

Hello Softinn PMS user! You must be excited to know that Softinn PMS has integrated with Siteminder! With this, you can sync your inventory and rates between Softinn PMS to your channel manager and your OTAs accounts. 

Now, how to connect Siteminder and Softinn PMS together?

Steps to Setup for Siteminder Integration on Softinn PMS


Follow the guidelines below:

PART 1 : How to Get the Configuration Codes from Siteminder 

Step 1 : Login to your Siteminder Channel Manager account.

Step 2 : Click “Softinn PMS”.

Step 3 : Click “Rooms & Rates”. Here you can view the Room Types and Rate Plans set for Siteminder and Softinn PMS mapping

Step 4 : Click “Download Rooms & Rates Configuration”

Step 5 : Open the downloaded Siteminder Configuration Code Excel file.

Step 6 : Copy the Room Code, Rate Code and Inventory Code of the Room Type under Rate Plan you’d like to integrate from Siteminder. Example: Deluxe Room under Room With Breakfast rate plan.

PART 2: How to Setup Room Type on Softinn PMS for Siteminder Integration

Step 1 : Login to Softinn Extranet

Step 2 : Select the right property, if you have multiple properties with us

Step 3 : Click on your email ID on the top right of the page.

Step 4 : Click “Go to PMS”.  You will be directed to your Softinn PMS dashboard.

Step 5 : After login to Softinn PMS, click “Setup”

Step 6 : Click “Room”

Step 7 : Click “Room Type & No.” 

Step 8 : Select a Room Type. It should be the same as the Room Type in Siteminder.

Step 9 : Click “Edit” icon of the Room Type.  

Step 10 : Insert the Room Type, Reference Code, and Max. Guest. They should all be the same as the Siteminder and in your OTA accounts.

Step 11 : Click “Enable” button

Step 12 : Insert the Inventory Code and Room Code that you copied from Siteminder dashboard just now.

Step 13 : Click “Save Changes”

PART 3:  How to Setup and Map the Rate Plan on Softinn PMS to Siteminder

Step 1 : Click “Setup”

Step 2 : Click “Room”

Step 3 : Click “Rate Plan”

Step 4 : Click “Add Rate Plan”

Step 5 : Choose “Active”

Step 6 : Insert the New Rate Plan Name (It must be the same as Rate Plan in Siteminder).

Step 7 : Insert the Description

Step 8 : Click “Save Rate Plan”

Step 9 : Click on the Rate Plan you’ve  created

Step 10 : Scroll to the lower section.  Make sure the section has the Rate Plan name you just created. 

Step 11 : Click “Add Mapping”

Step 12 : Select the Room Type to map. Eg. Deluxe Room.

Step 13 : Insert the Rate Code from Siteminder.

Step 14 : Set your Default Rate.

Step 15 : Click “Add Connection”. The Room Type is now mapped to Siteminder.

PART 5:  How to Check for Successful Integration for Siteminder and Softinn PMS 

Step 1 : From the “Rate Plan” page, click “View Rate Plan Mapping”. These are the Codes you’ve already inserted from Siteminder to Softinn PMS.

Step 2 : Click “Export Mapping Code”.

Step 3 : Open the downloaded Mapping Code file from Softinn PMS

Step 4: Compare the Codes downloaded from Softinn PMS and the Configuration Codes from Siteminder The Codes from Softinn PMS and Siteminder should be the same. If they are the same, then the integration is a success!
