How to Add Partial Payment to the Reservation in Softinn PMS

Hello  Softinn PMS  users! You received a reservation via phone call and the guest made partial payment first by Bank Transfer.

Steps to Add Partial Payment to the Reservation in Softinn PMS:


Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1 : Login to Softinn PMS.

Step 2 : Select the right property

Step 3 : Click ‘Create a Reservation

Step 4 : Fill in the new reservation details.

Step 5 : Select the Rate Plan. **If you do not have a Rate Plan, you can still insert the room charges manually on the “Daily Rate” column.

Step 6 : Insert a partial Room Payment. Select the Payment Method & Payment Account.

Step 7 : Click ‘Save Reservation

Step 8 : Go to ‘Guest Folio

Step 9 : Upon check-in, when the guest has made the remaining payment for the Room Charges, Click ‘Add Payment‘ button to record the payment.

Step 10 : Upon check-in, when you collect the Refundable Security Deposit from the Guest, Click ‘Collect Deposit‘ button to record the refundable security deposit.

Step 11 : Click ‘Check-in‘ to check-in the guest

Step 12 : You can click ‘Generate Receipt‘ to provide the Receipt to the guest after the guest has made payment.

  • You can generate a receipt for each payment made separately.

Notes : 

  • Yellow Exclamation Mark icon referring the charges/ security deposit is not fully paid/refunded/reversed
  • Green Tick icon referring the charges is fully paid
