If you turn on the auto-sync between the PMS and Extranet, when a reservation was received either in Booking Engine or PMS the room inventory will be auto-synced and updated between these 2 systems.
However, if due to certain reasons such as “Close a room for maintenance”, or “Close a room for a private event”, you need to close the room inventory MANUALLY by yourself in BOTH the PMS & Extranet.

Example: You need to block ALL Superior Rooms from receiving booking for 15th & 16th January 2021, because of a private event. This is what you should do in both the PMS & Extranet.
Steps to Manage Hotel Calendar in Softinn Extranet & PMS :
Follow the guidelines below:
Step 1 : Login to Softinn Extranet
Step 2 : Select the correct property
Step 3 : Click ‘Calendar‘
Step 4 : Proceed to click the closures date to block the Calendar.
- Once the date has been blocked, the date will be changed to red color
Next, you would need to MANUALLY block the calendar in PMS too.
Step 5 : To update the PMS calendar, go to your email address and click “Go to PMS”
Step 6 : On PMS, click on the “CALENDAR“.
As you can see, the date 15th & 16th January for Superior Room is still not closed yet in PMS
Step 7 : Click on the “Close Room” button
Step 8 : Select the room closure dates
Step 9 : Select the correct room type in this case, it is “Superior Room”
Step 10 : Select the Allocation type, in this case, it is “Miscellaneous”
Step 11 : Once done, click “Save Changes”
You’ve successfully closed all the Superior Room for 15th-16th Jan 2021. This information will be reflected on “Inventory” page too
Step 12 : Click “Inventory”
- Availability for Superior Room for 15th-16th Jan 2021 will be updated to 0
- The occupancy for Superior Room for 15th-16th Jan 2021 will be updated to fully occupied
If you are using Softinn Channel Manager, then the information on this “Inventory” page will be auto pushed to your connected OTAs.
