If you turn on the auto-sync between the PMS and Extranet, when a reservation was received either in Booking Engine or PMS the room inventory will be auto-synced and updated between these 2 systems.
In addition, if due to certain reasons such as “Close a room for maintenance”, or “Close a room for a private event”, you can close the room inventory in Softinn PMS.
This info also will be auto-synced with Extranet Calendar page. On the Extranet Calendar page, you can see the 1 PMS Blocked, and your Booking Engine Selling unit will be automatically reduced by 1 unit.

Scenario : You need to block ALL King Bed Room from receiving booking for 18th & 19th March 2022, because of a private event. This is what you should do in Softinn PMS.
Steps to Manage Hotel Calendar in Softinn Extranet & PMS :
Follow the guidelines below:
Step 1 : Login to Softinn PMS
Step 2 : Select the correct property
Step 3 : Click on the “CALENDAR“.
Step 4 : Click on the “Close Room” button
Step 5 : Select the room closure dates
Step 6 : Select the correct room type in this case, it is “King Bed Room”
Step 7 : Select the Allocation type, in this case, it is “Miscellaneous”
Step 8 : Once done, click “Save Changes”
You’ve successfully closed all the King Bed Room for 18th and 19th March 2022.
Let’s check out the Extranet Calendar page for your hotel booking engine.
You will see that the date is in Red color because the date has been blocked. You also can see 6 PMS blocked for 18th and 19th March 2022.
This information will be reflected on “Inventory” page too
Step 12 : Click “Inventory”
- Availability for King Bed Room for 18th and 19th March 2022. will be updated to 0
- The occupancy for King Bed Room for 18th and 19th March 2022. will be updated to fully occupied
If you are using Softinn Channel Manager, then the information on this “Inventory” page will be auto pushed to your connected OTAs.
