How to Close & Open A Room for Maintenance and Cleaning in PMS

Steps to Close & Open A Room for Maintenance and Cleaning in PMS:


Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1 : Login to Softinn PMS

Step 2 : Select the right property.

Step 3 : Click on the “CALENDAR”.

Step 4 : Then, click “Close Room”.

Step 5 : Choose the duration of the closing for the room. You can set the time for the closing of the room that you want. Once done, click “Apply”.

Step 6 : After that, choose the room type, room number, and allocation type. There are “Maintenance” and “Cleaning” available for allocation type.

Step 7 : Once done, click “Save changes”, “Yes. Update it!” and “OK”.

Step 8 : The allocation for the room has been added. The specific date of the room will appear in a blue color “CLEANING” in the column. If you allocate the room to maintenance, the column will appear “MAINTENANCE” in grey color. Once you allocated, for example, “Cleaning”, the room status will show cleaning as well.

Step 9 : Click “ROOM” and “Room Status”.

Step 10 : Click on the room that you have closed. On the right side, the room status will show a “Cleaning” icon and state the date of closing.

Step 11 : When the maintenance or cleaning finish, open the room to assign the room to guests. To open a room, you need to click “CALENDAR” again. Double click on the “CLEANING” mark at the room that you want to open. Click “Remove allocation” and click “Yes. Remove it!”. Click “OK”.

Step 12 : The allocation of the room has been removed. The blue color “CLEANING” mark will disappear from the calendar.
