How to Setup Housekeeping on Softinn PMS

Hello Softinn PMS user! Using Softinn PMS you could manage housekeeping tasks for your rooms.

With “Housekeeping” module, you can assign housekeeping tasks to your housekeepers. But first, you have to invite your housekeepers and inspectors (if any) and create an inspection list (optional). You can create names for specific areas in your hotel in Softinn PMS. It will be useful for tagging an area for “Lost & Found” and assigning areas for maintenance work.

Steps to Setup Housekeeping on Softinn PMS.


Follow the guidelines below:

PART 1: How to Invite a Housekeeper to Your Softinn PMS 

Step 1 : Login to Softinn PMS. After login, click “Setup”.

Step 2 : Click “Housekeeping”.

Step 3 : Click “Housekeeper”.

Step 4 : Click “Add Housekeeper”.

Step 5 : Insert Housekeeper’s Name and Reference Code.

Step 6 : Insert Housekeeper’s Email.

Step 7 : Set the PMS login password for your Housekeeper.

Step 8 : Click “Save Changes”. Your Housekeeper’s name and email will appear on the Housekeeper List. Your Housekeeper has been added into Softinn PMS with access to Housekeeping-related tasks only. 

For your Housekeeper to login to Softinn PMS:

Step 1 : Your Housekeeper will get an invitation email. The housekeeper will use the given email  and password to login to Softinn PMS.

Step 2 : Housekeeper click “login here” in the email to go to Softinn PMS.

Step 3 : Housekeeper will login to Softinn PMS and able to view his/her tasks. Housekeeper can login using his/her mobile phone as well.

 

PART 2:  How to Invite Inspector to Softinn PMS (optional) 

Step 1 : After login to Softinn PMS, click “Setup”.

Step 2 : Click “Housekeeping”.

Step 3 : Click “Inspector”.

Step 4 : Click “Add Inspector”.

Step 5 : Insert Inspector’s Name and Reference Code.

Step 6 : Insert Inspector’s Email.

Step 7 : Set the PMS login password for your inspector.

Step 8 : Click “Save Changes”. Your Inspector’s name and email will appear on the Inspector List. Your Inspector has been added into Softinn PMS for access to Inspection-related tasks only. 

For your Inspector to login to Softinn PMS:

Step 1 : Your Inspector will get an invitation email. Inspector will use the given email and password to login to Softinn PMS.

Step 2 : Inspector click “login here” in the email to go to Softinn PMS.

Step 3 : Inspector will login to Softinn PMS and able to view his/her tasks. Inspector can login using his/her mobile phone as well.

 

PART 3: How to Add Inspection Checklist on Softinn PMS (optional)

Step 1 : After login to Softinn PMS, click “Setup”.

Step 2 : Click “Housekeeping”.

Step 3 : Click “Inspection Checklist”.

Step 4 : Select your Room Type. 

Step 5 : Click “Add Inspection Item”.

Step 6 : Insert item to be inspected.

Step 7 : Click “Save this item”.

Step 8 : Click “Add Inspection Item”  again to add more items.

 

PART 4: How to Create Names for Places other than Rooms (optional) 

Step 1 : After login to Softinn PMS, click “Setup”.

Step 2 : Click “Housekeeping”

Step 3 : Click “Area”

Step 4 : Click “Add Area”

Step 5 : Insert a Name for a specific area of your hotel.

Step 6 : Insert the Description of the area.

Step 7 : Click “Save Changes”. Your Area’s name will appear on the Area List. 

Places outside of hotel Rooms will need their own identification name just like a hotel room. Examples: Lobby, Walkway. You can use these places name when assigning for maintenance task or for reporting Lost & Found items.
