How to Edit the Check-In & Check-Out Date for a Group Reservation in Softinn PMS

Hello Softinn PMS users!

Imagine that your hotel has received a group tour reservation for 3 rooms that stays for 2 nights. During their stay, one of the guests has an emergency and he needs to check-out one day earlier.

Check out this video to find out what you need to do to edit the check-out date of one of the reservations under a group reservation in Softinn PMS:

Steps to Edit Check-In & Check-Out Date for a Group Reservation :


Follow the guidelines below:

Step 1 : Login to Softinn PMS

Step 2 : Select the correct property

Step 3 : Click “Reservation” and then, click “Manage Group Reservations

Step 4 : Look for the respective reservation and select the reservation

Step 5 : Click on the “Option” icon for the selected room, then click on the “Change Check-In/Out Dates

Step 6 : From the “Update Folio Reservation Details” pop-up window, update the check-out date

  • Make sure the room rate is correct

Step 7 : Click “Save” button.

Step 8 : Click on the “Option” icon for the respective room, then click “View Folio” to view the changes

Step 9 : The changes will be reflected on the Guest Folio. Click on the “Folio” icon

Step 10 : You will see the check-out date has been updated. Besides, the room charge for the 2nd night has been remove

  • When you click “Show reversed and voided transactions“, you will see the charges for 2nd night has been reversed

Step 11: To refund the remaining balance to the guest, click “Add Refund

  • Fill in the amount to be refunded
  • Choose the right payment method and payment account
